These are my two beautiful rose bushes I planted four years ago. I am so glad at how well they have grown and blossomed. All I did was give it water, love, and pruned the dead blooms.

Front Porch Containers
On my front porch I have two pots that I always renew with annual plants. This year I figured I would plant perennials and not do anything again next year. I think they really added something extra to my front porch. Take look!! When looking for plants I looked for something tall for in the back. In the front I looked for different shades of green in the leaves but kept the flower blossoms in the purple family.
Fail for Slow Cooker Mac & Cheese
I tried to make mac and cheese last night. It was a pinterest recipe that I was wanting to try. I have been wanting a great mac and cheese recipe and thought slow cooker mac and cheese alrighty. Well it wasn't good. None of my family ended up liking it. It looked great and smelled great but the taste was well not so great. I guess the search is still on.

No Tears or Less Anyways With an Onion
I learned a little trick to help keep from crying or tearing up. Sometimes it works better than others. When cutting the onion, cut the ends off. Next cut down the middle. Make sure the outside skin is off. Finally take each half and run both ends under water. Run under water a while filling up the pockets or pores with water. Than take back to your cutting board and cut normally. Happy Cutting!!
Sloppy Joes
This is a recipe I always turn to. It is quick easy and has a little kick to it. Try them and I am sure you will like them.
Fry up hamburger and drain. Cut up an onion and fry with hamburger. Add next five ingredients. Mix them and enjoy!! Eat right away, if you don't make sure an keep covered. Before you serve you may have to add more ketchup as it tends to need more after sitting on heat.
I used sesame seed buns and onion rings for a side.

Homemade Maple Syrup
This morning I made french toast and realized I did not have syrup. I tried this recipe and loved it!! Best part it is super easy!!
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tablespoons maple flavoring
In a sauce pan bring water and sugars to a boil over medium-high heat. Once at a boil at maple flavoring and reduce heat to medium-low heat for three minutes. Remove from heat and enjoy!! Remember to constantly stir so your sugars won't burn.

French Toast
French toast is pretty basic. I found this fabulous recipe. Super yummy!!
This recipe makes a whole loaf of french bread.
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 Tablespoons fresh orange juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
In a bowl beat together eggs and next four ingredients. Preheat griddle at 375 degrees. Once heated turn down to 325 degrees. (If you keep at 375 the outside will get done and leave the inside gooey and under cooked.) Once done place on plate with syrup, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. Enjoy!!

Paul Frank Birthday
My middle child wanted a Paul Frank Birthday for his third birthday. So I made him a super cute cake. The cookies are ordered. The cake could use a finish at the bottom of the cake. All in all I thought it turned out okay. Still working on getting a smooth frosting base.

Hot Wheel Flame Cupcakes
My son has decided he wants to have a Hot Wheels birthday party. Since his birthday is in the summer we have to celebrate his half birthday at his preschool. I know what he wants this summer I am wanting to make cupcakes to reflect his birthday choice. I made chocolate cake and found cute checkered flag cupcake papers at Hobby Lobby. I found plastic cars from Wal-Mart. The next part was tricky, flame frosting. I had an idea in my head but was wondering weather it would work out or not. I took white frosting and colored it yellow. Next I took a piping bag and painted two red stripes and two orange stripes. I added the yellow frosting and began to pipe in circles. Once done I was so excited about the end product!! Yeah flame frosting!!

Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt
For Easter this year I decided to do an Easter egg hunt at night. I took regular plastic Easter eggs from Hobby Lobby $0.87 for a dozen and 40% off. Next it was off to Michael's for glow bracelets $1.00 for 15. I snapped and shook the bracelets to start the glow. Next I circled them up and placed them in the eggs. Make sure you buy the large plastic eggs. I had to put tape around the outside to make sure them stayed together. Also beware when circling the bracelets to place in eggs that you don't break the bracelets. They will leak out if you are not careful. You can get the eggs ready hours a head of time. They glow for a long time. The next day they were still glowing however not very bright.
My boys loved it!! We hid them again and again!! A must do every year!!
Purple Floral Arrangement
Today I heard that my Mother-in-law's father past away. So I decided to arrange some flowers for her. I bought a bunch of flowers from Dillons for $15. I like to buy my flowers from Dillons because they are nicer and last a little longer. I also picked up some vases from Michaels.
Next I just cut the plastic and rubber band throwing the plastic and rubber band away.
Next I remove the flowers that are broken or have mold on them. When I say broken I mean the flower broken at the steam.
Now when you are ready to cut, cut one flower at a time. Pull off petals that are falling and pull of leaves from steam because they can make it to bunched up and to full with the leaves on the steam.
I start with one flower and build on that. Once all the flowers are arranged in the vase than I add the filler one at a time. Once finished I than add a pretty flower. I always use wire ribbon. That way I can mold the bow. Lastly cut the strands at an angle. Finished!!

When cutting your flowers cut them at an angle under cold running water. The angle allows the steam to get as much water as possible. Cutting it under running water allows the steam to get fresh water right away. I also fill my vase with cold water. Warm water allows the flowers to open up to quickly.
