My son has decided he wants to have a Hot Wheels birthday party. Since his birthday is in the summer we have to celebrate his half birthday at his preschool. I know what he wants this summer I am wanting to make cupcakes to reflect his birthday choice. I made chocolate cake and found cute checkered flag cupcake papers at Hobby Lobby. I found plastic cars from Wal-Mart. The next part was tricky, flame frosting. I had an idea in my head but was wondering weather it would work out or not. I took white frosting and colored it yellow. Next I took a piping bag and painted two red stripes and two orange stripes. I added the yellow frosting and began to pipe in circles. Once done I was so excited about the end product!! Yeah flame frosting!!
Yummy
ReplyDeleteOh! Yummy! These cakes look perfect according to the hot wheels theme. I am sure your son might have loved it. As a mother you have to do so much for your kids, I had to convert a Chicago event space into an Iceland for my daughter’s birthday but it was worth the effort.
